Every second Thursday we spend an evening at Iroko enjoying the Japanese style of barbecue known as Yakitori, small skewers of meat grilled over charcoal.
Yakitori is very popular in bars and specialist restaurants across Japan as an after work way of eating with friends over a few drinks.
With this in mind we've put together a menu that celebrates this style of eating and drinking, a selection of Yakitori Skewers, Tempura Vegetables and Japanese drinks. Our bar team have created a special cocktail menu for the evening using the finest spirits from the Nikka distillery as well as beers provided by the Asahi Brewary.
Sittings at 18:30 and 20:30
Tempura vegetables, sesame and soy dip
Charcoal grilled yakitori
Torinegi - Chicken thigh, spring onion
Kokoro - Duck hearts, sichimi togarashi
Reba - Chicken liver, black and white sesame, teriyaki
Tsukune- Chicken meatball, ginger, chives, egg yolk
Gyutan - ox tongue, black and white sesame
These events are a whole lot of fun and we always have a great reception, tickets are now available, £20 per person for food.
